All class participants are required to bring the basic wheat weaving kit to classes they are enrolled in:
Your own wheat (cleaned, sorted, and soaked before class, if indicated in the class description for the class), soaking tray (provided by NAWW on request—see Convention Registration Form), towel, quilting thread (or other appropriate thread for tying the straw), pointed scissors, ruler, glue or E6000, Hindenburg or other tool to remove pith from straw, water spray bottle (minus the water), small clothespins, pin board and pins. Specific supplies for each class are listed in the class description by the instructor and must be brought to class by each participant.
Wheat and Oats. Several of the projects offered during the 2026 Convention require a substantial bit of wheat and oats. Through donations from Gladys Brockway, Rita Peterman, Dianne Gardner, and Mary Thrower; we will have wheat and oats available for any member who requests it. In exchange, we are requesting a donation to the Humanitarian Scholarship. Contact Mary Thrower at mthrower50@gmail.com. More information is in the Registration Packet on page 12.
If a kit is provided by the class instructor, class participants are required to purchase the kit. If you wish to purchase additional kits, you must contact the instructor to see if extra kits will be available.
