Convention Highlights

Tour Day – Wednesday, April 23

The Wednesday tour will include a wonderful interpretive visit to Lava fields, hosted by one of our area’s most respected volcanologists. We will also tour one of Central Oregon’s premier attractions — the High Desert Museum (4.8 star Google review from thousands of reviews).

But wait! There’s more!

If you have the opportunity, please take time to explore the town itself. Sisters has a charming downtown area that is home to gorgeous buildings that look like they are from the 1880s Wild West. Filled with unique shops, art galleries and eateries it is a fun way to spend some time.

If you want to soak in the Western atmosphere of the town, pass through the drive-in that dates from 1952, where you can purchase homemade ice cream. Be on the look out for the UPS shipping store, which is nostalgically called “The Pony Express!”

Sisters is also a perfect base to enjoy some of the nature and history of the region and offers a variety of activities that range from hiking the Whychus Overlook Trail to enjoying scenic drives like the McKenzie Pass-Santiam Pass Scenic Byway.
